The opening speech ends with the announcement that a Mercedes key has been found and deposited in the mail room. Upon entering the mail room, a noise can be heard, which can be traced to the ventilation ducts under the ceiling and quickly loses its attention. After the door closes, there are hardly any sounds heard from the foyer and stairwell, and from time to time the vending machine seems to be cooled, adding another noise to the room. At its end is a red, triangular button labeled „Panic.“ Otherwise, there is some loose money, headphones, a broken necklace, a lighter wrapped in rubber bands, a magnetic key for a locker, cable ties, a hair clip, two folded pieces of paper, and a dismantled lock with two keys. The front of the white piece of paper has „olympus the visible difference“ printed on it. On the back, someone has written by hand, „The less diversity there is in experience, the less differentiated engagement with the environment can take place.“

The red note appears to have belonged to the packaging of the lock. Technical drawings show the structure, dimensions, and handling. Written in ballpoint pen on the red side is „Perhaps living a thousand potential lives adored in some world and forgotten in another S.3“. In addition to the notes and signs of wear on the objects, the scent of „Chanel Égoïst“ on the car key, „Gisada Ambassador“ on the headphones, and the magnetic key suggest multiple owners or their absence. The items appear to have been brought together in the box, yet at the same time, a Tilidin 50 mg/4 mg (1.) package, a transparent button, and other small change on the concrete floor indicate movement out of the box.

Underneath the defibrillator on the table are two glasses, one showing a video inside and the other containing a fortune cookie slip. It says: “You have a secret rival.” The video shows a failed attempt to buy one, or rather two, packs of M&Ms from a snack machine. The sound of the video uses resonance speakers to produce the forgotten noise of ventilation channels. Another speaker provides sound effects for coins being inserted via the snack vending machine located in the room. The conveyor spirals No. 44 and 45 of the vending machine, visible in the glass, contain yellow M&M's peanut packs. Compared to No. 45, the outermost M&M's Peanuts package in conveyor spiral No. 44 does not appear to have fallen into the product dispenser as intended during the last selection paid for. This means that there is a possibility that two yellow M&M's peanut packs could fall into the product dispenser at the same time during the next paid selection No. 44, which does not happen. (2.)

In the left corner between the mailboxes and the exposed concrete wall, a metal frame similar in size to the cardboard box lies on the floor, with exposed wiring and integrated light bulbs. Some still glow faintly, while in others the filaments are broken and the glass bulbs are charred from the inside. Installed as a lighting panel, it originally served to illuminate the individual colorful buttons of the “Rotomat Lord” slot machine, guiding the player’s finger and actions.

(2.) Normally, the conveyor spirals in vending machines are designed and equipped in such a way that only one product falls when the conveyor spiral is rotated 360° by the stepper motor. Mit dem Betreten des Postraums wird ein Rauschen hörbar, es lässt sich den Lüftungskanälen unter der Decke zuordnen und verliert so schnell seine Aufmerksamkeit. Nachdem die Tür ins Schloss fällt, ist von dem Foyer und dem Treppenhaus kaum bis nichts mehr zu hören, und ab und zu scheint der Automat mit Snacks gekühlt zu werden und fügt dabei noch ein weiteres Rauschen dem Raum hinzu. Auf dem Boden, in einer Pappschachtel, liegen Gegenstände und wahrscheinlich auch der eine Mercedes-Schlüssel, der in der Rede erwähnt wurde. An seinem Ende ist ein roter, dreieckiger Knopf, auf dem „Panic“ steht. Sonst gibt es etwas Kleingeld, Kopfhörer, eine gerissene Kette, ein Feuerzeug mit darum gewickeltem Gummiband, einen magnetischen Schlüssel für ein Spind, Kabelbinder, eine Haarklammer, zwei gefaltete Zettel und ein ausgebautes Schloss mit zwei Schlüsseln. Auf der Vorderseite des weißen Zettels ist „olympus the visible difference“ gedruckt. Auf der Rückseite ist mit Hand „Je weniger eine Vielfalt im Erleben da ist, desto weniger kann auch eine differenzierte Auseinandersetzung mit der Umwelt stattfinden“ geschrieben.

Der rote Zettel scheint zu einer Verpackung des Schlosses gehört zu haben. Technische Zeichnungen bilden den Aufbau, die Maße und die Handhabe ab. Mit Kugelschreiber ist auf die rote Seite „Perhaps living a thousand potential lives adored in some world and forgotten in another S.3“ notiert.
Neben den Notizen und den Gebrauchsspuren der Gegenstände deutet der Duft „Chanel Égoïst“ auf dem Autoschlüssel, „Gisada Ambassador“ auf den Kopfhörern und dem magnetischen Schlüssel auf mehrere Besitzer oder Besitzerinnen hin und genauso auf deren Abwesenheit. In dem Karton scheinen die Dinge zusammengebracht worden zu sein, und zugleich zeichnen auf dem Betonboden eine Tilidin-50-mg/4-mg (1.) Verpackung, ein durchsichtiger Knopf und weiteres Kleingeld Bewegungen aus dem Karton heraus.

Unter dem Defibrillator auf dem Tisch stehen zwei Gläser, eins spielt ein Video ab, in dem anderen ist ein Glückskekszettel zu sehen. Auf ihm steht: „Sie haben einen heimlichen Rivalen.“
Das Video zeigt den gescheiterten Versuch, eine bzw. zwei M&M-Packungen in einem Snackautomaten zu kaufen. Der Ton des Videos erzeugt durch Resonanzlautsprecher das schon in Vergessenheit geratene Rauschen der Lüftungskanäle. Ebenso wird mit einem weiteren Resonanzlautsprecher der Einwurf der Geldstücke über den im Raum befindlichen Snackautomaten vertont. In der im Glas zu sehenden Förderspirale Nr. 44 und 45 des Warenautomaten befinden sich gelbe M&M’s-Peanuts-Packungen. Verglichen mit der Nr. 45 scheint die äußerste M&M’s-Peanuts-Packung der Förderspirale Nr. 44 bei der letzten gezahlten Auswahl nicht wie gesollt in die Warenentnahme gefallen zu sein. Somit ergibt sich die Möglichkeit, dass bei der nächsten gezahlten Auswahl Nr. 44 zwei gelbe M&M’s-Peanuts-Packungen zugleich in die Warenentnahme fallen könnten, wie es nicht geschieht. (2.)

In der linken Ecke zwischen Postfächern und der Sichtbetonwand liegt auf dem Boden, dem Format des Kartons ähnelnd, ein Metallgestell mit offenliegender Verkabelung und darin integrierten Glühbirnen. Einige leuchten noch schwach, während in anderen die Glühdrähte gerissen und die Glasbirnen von innen verkohlt sind. Eingebaut als Beleuchtungsplatte diente sie ursprünglich dazu, die einzelnen bunten Spieltasten des Automaten „Rotomat Lord“ zu beleuchten und damit den Finger und die Aktionen des Spielenden zu leiten.

Ebenso kann das nicht korrekte Beladen der Förderspirale sowie Spannungs- und Stromprobleme zu einem fehlerhaften Auswurf oder dem Hängenbleiben des Produkts in der Spirale führen. Wenn ebenfalls der Produkterkennungssensor (Infrarot- oder Lichtschranke) im Warenautomaten defekt oder nicht vorhanden ist, kommt es zu keiner oder einer Fehlmeldung über den Status des ausgewählten Produkts in der Förderspirale. Dadurch kann weder eine Kaufwiederholung, eine Ersatzwahl noch eine Rückerstattung erfolgen.
