Noah Evenius

The collaboration of Noah Evenius and Jan Prahm Miró was embedded in an non-authorised group exhibition „Be Guest, Be Host, Be Ghost“, which took place at night in an official, video-monitored ATM. The artists and visitors were exposed to constant surveillance, the possible presence of security guards and normal customers. As a silent, performative act, the sentence adapts to the material environment of the branch.
Divided in two into dust and the security chain, the chosen form seems to become an expression of itself, thus offering the effect of a self-reflexive independence of the material. The loss of the temporarily formed signs is constitutively closer to them than their survival. In this sense, their ephemeral notations imaginatively dissolve quickly in the monitored rhythm of the branch.

Die Zusammenarbeit von Noah Evenius und Jan Prahm Miró war eingebettet in die nicht autorisierte Gruppenausstellung „Be Guest, Be Host, Be Ghost“, die nachts in einer offiziellen, videoüberwachten Bankfiliale stattfand. Die Künstler*innen und Besucher*innen waren der ständigen Überwachung, der möglichen Anwesenheit von Sicherheitsbeamten und normaler Kundschaft ausgesetzt. Als stiller, performativer Akt adaptiert sich der Satz in das materielle Umfeld der Filiale.
Zweigeteilt in Staub und die Sicherheitskette, scheint die gewählte Form Ausdruck ihrer selbst zu werden, wodurch sich die Wirkung einer selbstreflexiven Mündigkeit des Materials anbietet.Dabei ist ihnen der Verlust der temporär geformten Zeichen konstitutiv näher als deren Überdauern. In diesem Sinn vermag sich ihre ephemere Notation vorstellend schnell im überwachten Rhythmus der Filiale aufzulösen.
